More special things! On the previous lesson we’ve learned what’ll happen when
4) Final consonant ㅇ
We already knew how we read final consonant ㅇ. It’s ‘ng’. For example this one :
‘Gangnam’. But different thing will occur if there ‘s ㄹ after final consonan ㅇ. The ‘r’ sound will change to ‘n’ :
5) Final consonant ㅄ
As a final consonant, it’s pronounced ‘ps’.
But the ‘s’-part won’t be read if there is a consonant afterward. And there’s an interesting case if this final consonant meets ㄴ. It’ll be pronounced as ‘m’.
6) Final consonant ㅎ
Now this final consonant makes ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅈ read differently. If you pay more attention on how Korean pronounced it, you can even predict this before you see this picture :
